The Department shall be organized into hierarchical levels consisting of the Office of the Superintendent, Bureaus, Divisions, and Units.
The Office of the Superintendent shall oversee all Bureaus of the Department.
Each Bureau shall consist of one or more Divisions.
Each Division shall consist of one or more Units or Sub-Divisions.
The Office of the Superintendent shall constitute the executive office of the Department.
The Superintendent, vested with the rank of Colonel, shall serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Department and exercise oversight of all Bureaus. The Superintendent is additionally vested with a guaranteed place on the San Andreas Law Enforcement Network Council as a voting member with the eligibility to appoint a deputy with the same voting rights.
The Bureau of Professional Standards shall be responsible for matters of integrity, accountability, training, and investigative authority within the Department.
All investigative authority within the Department, both internal and external, shall be vested solely in the Bureau of Professional Standards.
The Bureau of Professional Standards shall consist of the following Divisions and subordinate Units:
Division of Internal Affairs
Professional Standards Unit (IA)
Division of Training & Education
Academy & Basic Training Unit
Field Training Officer (FTO) Program
Division of Criminal Investigations
Major Crimes Unit
Narcotics & Vice Unit
Organized Crime Unit
The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the operational enforcement of state law, patrol duties, traffic, aerial support, and specialized tactical response.
The Bureau of Field Operations shall consist of the following Divisions and subordinate Units:
Division of Patrol Operations
Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU)
Air Support Unit (ASU)
Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit (CVE)
K9 Unit (K9)
Division of Special Operations
Special Response Team (SRT)
Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
Search & Rescue Unit (SRU)
